Broughton Copper Zinc

Northern Territory

Project Highlights

Copper Zinc Exploration in the Northern Territory

  • Strong geological similarities to the Dzhezkazgan copper district in
Kazakhstan — one of the world’s largest sediment-hosted copper
    systems
  • Broadly distributed prospective units exposed at surface providing
    immediate near-surface targets
  • Widespread base metal anomalism in surface geochemistry — largely
    undrilled
  • First-mover, dominant land position (~1,633 km²) in an emerging
    sedimentary copper district

Project Location & Background

The Broughton Project is located within the McArthur Basin of the Northern Territory and covers approximately 1,633 km² of highly prospective ground. The project occupies a first-mover, district-scale land position in an emerging sediment-hosted copper-zinc province and exhibits strong geological similarities to the world-class Dzhezkazgan Copper District in Kazakhstan, one of the largest sediment-hosted copper systems globally.

Broadly distributed prospective host rocks are exposed at surface, providing numerous near-surface exploration opportunities, while widespread base metal anomalism identified through surface geochemistry highlights the project’s significant discovery potential. Despite its favourable geology, much of the project remains largely undrilled and underexplored, positioning Broughton as a compelling exploration asset with the potential to host large-scale copper-zinc mineralisation.
